outside reading

The latest peice of writting i have read is the local phonebook. I was thinking i wanted to check out some jackets at Dicks Sporting Goods. Then i realized i wasn't quite sure it would be open. Quickly i opened the phonebook where you can find any number to any house or store. flipping through the thousands of pages i finaly stumbled across the "D" section. I found Dicks' number and found out they didn't close untill 10 pm. I was very exited so i got in the car and went on down to check out some jackets.

outside reading

The most recent artical I have read is my math book. Not only is the book all numbers and problems. It exlpains how to do the work in detail. Every day there is a different chapter assigned, but you aren't requiered to read the whole chapter. I beleive it helps to actually read rather than skip right to the homework questions because if you missed something in class you can recall by simply reading the chapter.

outside reading

The most recent reading ive read was my strength and conditioning workbook. This tells me about the practical parts of working out. How to do workouts and what muscles you are working in different machines. This helps a lot to make sure the lifting im doing is helping not hurting.

Snowboard heroes

This is Chad Otterstrom performing an underflip 720 on Chads gap. Chads gap is a huge gap that was destroyed years ago due to too many people getting hurt on it. Chad is a hero becuase he was the first to try it, which is why it is named after him.

Snowboarding video of Eero Ettala

While studying snowboard heroes I learned you must always go big, otherwise why even be there and not get better. If your not trying as hard as possible you might as well go home. That is what the meaning of this quote below is.

This photo is of Heikki Sorsa, one of my favorite snowboarders. He is very good and he is a hero because he never gives up. Heikki has broke many bones and been in the hospital plenty of times, but he keeps gettin on the slopes to do what he loves.

Conclusion: What i learned from this is that really you must keep on keeping on. Many people get hurt once and they're done but these guys keep doin what they do no matter what the consequences. I've always loved snowboarding and you can count on it that i wont be giving up any time soon.

Outside Reading

Last thing i read was my snowboard magazine. Transworld snowboarding is a magazine that i get once a month. it tells about different mountains and riders and how snowboarding is going around the world.

Favorite book!

Well, my favorite book of all time would definitely have to be Hatchet. I like this book so much because it was very adventurous. These are the only kind of books I enjoy. It kept me on my feet while reading it, you never knew what is going to happen. Hatchet is a great book to read for those who have not yet read it.

hall of fame

Will overcame many obstacles in his lifetime, but this one is special. On September 6, 2021 he became the first man to fly without an airplane. Most people were skeptical and believed this wasn’t possible, but Will showed us all something amazing. With his rocket shoes he was able to go anywhere in the world at intense speeds. He failed numerous times trying to achieve his dream of personal flight, but because of his perseverance he accomplished his goal. People have been using rocket shoes for over three decades now. Congratulations to Will and welcome to the Edina High School Hall of Fame.
