Life after the nightmare

The Japanese were put in internment camps to keep order and be sure there are no spys. After the whole ordeal, the U.S needed to do something with all of the Japanese who were ripped from their homes. Many of these helpless American citizens returned to the east coast and tried to start their lifes over. Most of these people lost all their land and were left with no money to buy more. After congress found what they did was wrong, they agreed to help the people out. For every 1 dollar lost, the U.S government will pay 10 cents. This didn't do much to help as you probably already know. It was extremely hard for them to come right out from internment and find jobs and education. This resulted in massive human suffering and not to mention all of the physical and emotional pain of the camps. After time passed, things were almost back to normal but their were still some families that were devastated. Now some families are suing to get paid back for their family's loss. This whole thing is a big lesson to never accuse just because of race or other stupid reasons.

Japanese internment in the U.S

As i was reading an artical on Japanese internment, i came upon many interesting and disturbing facts. After America was attacked in Pearl Harbor, presidant Roosevelt decided to take action and put 120,000 Japanese Americans in internment camps. Even though two thirds of them were American citizens, Roozevelt could not trust that none of them are spys for the Japanese.
Another very distubing fact is that of the 120,000 people put in camps, over half were children. Being torn from your homes and lives, these people were treated very terribly and did not deserve what they got. At the end of the war, only ten people were guilty of spying for the Japanese. All ten of these being caucasian. These are just a few facts that i found interesting but also sad. America has been through more rough times then one can ever imagine, things like these are just a painful reminder.

This is the site in which i read the artical from:

Global Warming

Global warming is a term we have all heard or will hear in the near future. It is the effect of the earth's average temperature rising causing many negative outcomes. Greenhouse gasses could be the cause of this global issue. The burning of fossil fuels and the constant solar radiation is building up in our atmosphere. This causes tempurature to raise, which in turn raises sea level. This chain reaction doesnt stop here, as the sea rises, more storms will come because of a change in the pattern of precipitation. This is a natural phenomenon we just can't have. The world is just begining to realize this and is trying to solve this problem.

Easter

Easter sunday is a christian religous day. This is the day in which Jesus was resurrected. Many people have come to think that Easter is just a fun day to wake up and go search for eggs that the Easter bunny hid during your sleep. Obviously, it is much more than that. Usually there will be a feast with ham to celebrate the resurrection. Easter is also the day that lent comes to an end, this means you no longer must be in a time of fasting and prayer. Easter is a fun holiday, but also a very religous one in the christian faith.

Bollywood

Bollywood is much like America's Hollywood although it has many different twists and turns. It is the center of Indian film making and comes out with some of the best films in India. This is not like Hollywood in which it is not a phisical place, rather it is the string of producers in Indian cinema. Most of Bollywood's films are musicals, but also include other genres such as comedy, drama, romantic, and thriller. Most of the films is done in Indian english, but more films are being made fully english. Bollywood is a great film industry and will keep on for decades to come, but will always be an underdog to America's great Hollywood.

culture of india

As I was reading a artical on Indian culture, many things in the reading struck me. currently there is 415 languages spoken in india altogether. Although the two official languages are Hindu and English. India is also one of the most religiously diverse countries in the world. It also has some of the most deaply religous societies on earth. All these religions include Hinduism, Buddhism, sikhism, and many more. India has many great traditions such as dance and music. The dances include folk and classical forms, both with many different types of dances. I thought this was an interesting artical and its told me a lot about indian culture that i did not know.
